We give more importance to our bathroom appearance and cleanliness. We clean the toilets with acids, spray disinfectants, and keep air fresheners for fragrance. Even though these are also safety of our health there are some bathroom safety products that save us from physical injuries. One such safety product is . What are and what is the utility of it? Grab bars are classified into various types. Tub mounted grab bar, wall mounted grab bar and suction cup grab bar. These bars give grip for our free movement.

Bath tub grab bars can be fixed on either side of the tub which helps as a holder to get into the tub and come out of the tub without slipping. Older and physically challenged people are benefited by this grab bar. Grab bars make them independent. Elders are benefited with the grab bars in the absence of anyone to assist them.

Wall mounted grab bars are mounted on wall and mostly on the side of the toilets. This helps old age persons to stand and sit comfortably. These bars are made of stainless steel and hence they are capable withstanding heavy weight. This bar acts as a best hold for the disabled persons who need perfect support to stand and sit. Since bathroom is always wet these grab bars prevent them slipping.

Suction cup grab is the portable one. This can be taken in your hand and fixed on any of the dry surface. There are two safety levers on either side of this grab bar. Just push the grab bar and lock the levers. This grab bar is easy to fix and there is no point of drilling holes on the wall or floor.

Why these grab bars are must for every bathroom? These grab bars prevent you from slipping. This makes your movements easy and apart from this, grab bars are cost effective. Grab bars come in various designs and sizes. These grab bars are best suited for old age homes and hospitals. Patients with leg injury need some support to get up and sit. Also people who have muscular problems like arthritis find it difficult to use the toilets. For them these grab bars stand as a boon.

We spend lot of money on providing infrastructure to our house but fail to attend to the bathroom where we need additional safety. Every house has a kid and elderly persons. We cannot always be with them and assist them in the bathrooms. If we are able to provide the basic safety equipments to the bathroom it would be best gift of all and one such is grab bars.
